Why do the field test?

Contribution to the profession: Teachers who participate in this project will be making a valuable contribution to strengthening teaching as a profession. 

Professional learning: Teachers consistently report that preparing, analysing and reflecting on evidence for a portfolio entry has been one of the most rewarding and effective professional learning experiences of their career.

It will create valuable evidence to add to your CV: Teachers’ CVs rarely contain first-hand evidence of the quality of their teaching. Completing one of these portfolio entries will provide teachers with a professionally validated example of their expertise in teaching.

Professional empowerment: Teachers consistently report that they gain a sense of empowerment as a result of recognition from their professional peers. Research shows that the greatest benefit to teachers and their schools comes when groups of teachers collaborate with other teachers in analysing and reflecting on the evidence they have gathered for their entries.
